PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring the Girls back! I travel for my job and work late hours. After working all day and being in my room all alone the Golden Girls is the show I relax and fall alseep too! In fact the whole line up of Will N Grace, Frasier, and of course the Golden Girls is amazing! I also loving watching it in the morning when getting ready for work. I WILL NOT watch Lifetime anymore if the Girls don't stay!
Rita Rocks and Wife Swap (YUCK) are the WORST subs ever!!!

I registered just to add my 2 cents to the "Please don't take away the Golden Girl's" plea.
Every Mon-Fri, I look forward to watching "my lineup" Will n Grace, Fraiser, then Golden Girls while I fold laundry and enjoy having the house quiet for the 1st time all day.
On the weekends, I really miss them.
If Golden Girl's goes away, I will have to find another channel to fill in for that time slot. Please keep it!!!

All time favorite in my extended household. It's like having a warm and comfortable friend tuck you in for the night. A quick note on the side (Dietribe would be a big improvement if the producers would bury all the warn out notions of nutrition and embrace modern and proven systems)

I am a 23 year old male and I absolutely love The Golden Girls. My grandmother passed away in 2005 and after chemotherapy treatments, I would sit with her and watch The Golden Girls..this was the only show we could watch together and really get a kick out of. I find this show wonderful and it brings back fond memories oh sitting on the couch and giggeling when I was a boy...LOVE IT! Oh and one more thing...

BOOOOOOOO! RITA IS NOT ROCKIN! There must have been a change of personsell at lifetime headquarters cuz this show is just an atrosity to mankind. KEEP GOLDEN GIRLS!!

Don't worry guys. I was checking my listings for tomorrow and the Golden Girls comes on regularly schedules times tomorrow (Jan 6). I think they will just have Rita Rocks and DieTribe in when there are new episodes. Not sure. Enjoy the show!

Golden Girls is a Lifetime staple, and one of the best shows the network has to offer. Quality television like Golden Girls simply isn't produced anymore.

As for the "original programming" Lifetime is trying to push...it's anything BUT original, of poor quality and entirely unwatchable.

Several months ago when I first heard Lifetime would longer air Golden Girls I couldn't believe it, I thought the powers that be at Lifetime would come to their senses and correct this monumental error of judgment. I certainly hope that something changes before Lifetime loses a large percentage of it's viewership because of this!

~Livid but loyal Lifetime viewer and Golden Girls fan!

I can't believe Lifetime isn't showing Golden Girls! The only time Dish has it in CA is really early in the AM when only Rose and the cows are up. That show has seen me through the loss of a mate, the joy of new friends, moving twice, and every change that those things bring, good and bad. The girls have been my family, and Lifetime was, too, until these "new" shows showed up and took over the landscape. Not good, sorry, but like the other fans before me, I don't appreciate the change. Please give us our Golden Girls back! And sure, we'll take Designing Women, while you're at it.

I have watched "The Golden Girls" on Lifetime for many years now. It is the only reason I watch Lifetime.
When "The Golden Girls" leave so will I.
I do not like any of their programs. They can add more bad reality shows if they want.
I am sure Hallmark and WE tv will see an increase in their viewers because of "The Golden Girls".
Goodbye Lifetime, you blew it.
Thanks for not being a friend.
I will see my girls at their new networks soon.

I agree , when Golden Girls leaves Lifetime..so will I.

So much for gratitude, huh? Apparently they have forgotten it was GG's (and their fans) that put Lifetime on the map! I do enjoy some of their movies, which btw have gotten better in the past few years , but their org programming? OMG! They suck. The show Blush is absolutely HORRIBLE, Wife swap stinks too. And the new show DietTribe? Who needs another show about fat women losing weight? Enough already!

I watch Reba everyonce in awhile but only when I'm too lazy to get up and find the remote, LOL.

I got so tired of Lifetimes schedule changes regarding the GG's I got a DVR thru DirectTV. I love it. It allows me to watch them when ever I want to. Same with Designing Women on TV Land, which I just found out as stopped showing DW as of Dec 31. I am bummed about that b/c you can't find DW on DVD's. I do have 29 episodes saved on my DVR though. Yeah for me!

I will boycott Lifetime when GG's leaves at the end of Febuary.

Lifetimes reputation as "The network for idiots" will be set in stone when they remove the golden girls. What person in there sane mind would put on the worthless dribble that is wife swap, reba, and the various other new shows and take off one of televisions most famous shows that has made its home on lifetime for years. For a good % of the viewers, it's bye bye lifetime, Hello Hallmark..

Please put Golden Girls back on at 4 and 5 pm. They are one of the main reasons I got cable, so I could see them. I loved watching them every Saturday night when I was a little girl. They make me laugh. Those ladies show that life can be just as fun in your senior years as it was in your youth. Wife swap is trash and not worth airing. No one wants to see that after a hard day at work or school. take wifeswap off. Put good shows like Golden Girls, Desigining women, and Murphy Brown on. Lifetime is losing my respect.

Emmy Award-Winning Show from Disney-ABC Domestic Television to Leave Lifetime Television After February 2009

By Anne Becker -- Broadcasting & Cable, 3/26/2008 12:01:00 AM

Hallmark Channel has bought the rights to The Golden Girls from Disney-ABC Domestic Television.

The Emmy Award-winning show will begin running on the cable network after February 2009, when it will leave its longtime home, Lifetime Television. The deal does not give Hallmark exclusive rights, however.
